I plan on updating the site as often as possible and will try to avoid the use of too much text. The blog will essentially consist of things that interest me.

That's what blogs are. However, I will post news that is generally real estate related when I come by it.

A note about the background image:
It's a screen shot from the PC game Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion that I've photoshoped on either side of a black stage & sliced the center up in Fireworks so I could fit the pieces inside tables. Sorry this part of the text is so hard to read. There is no good font color with the background being both black and white.

This is not a great idea for a web page as it's a little confusing for the viewer and it's time consuming to make as everything on web pages is generally placed in tables.

It also looks a little different, spacing wise, depending on which browser you're using. I just thought it looked cool.

Anyway.......I won't be talking about the stuff I don't like. I just don't have time. Actually, I won't be talking much at all. I mean really, who cares what I think. Besides no one wants to read much these days anyway. So, everything in this blog is kept short & sweet and to the point.

There's lots of colourful pictures that stand out great on a black background.

I use Stat Counter© to study my viewers. It's an absolutely brilliant, free, only up to 100 page views, information machine. They charge $9.00 a month up to 1000 hits which is totally worth it. Anyway... I have just seen that 43% of my viewers which is a lot because I'm averaging around 50 unique viewers a day are using 1024 x 768 monitors, which I'm guessing are laptops. This means they can't see my whole cool background image here. Too bad. It looks nice on a larger monitor.

OK. The Lower Lonsdale Development Guide is now totally updated with lots of new photos. There's lots going on in the City & that's what interests me as this is where I live and work. I have added the N.V. City zoning map PDF to go along with the Dev. Permit Apps link this is a large site and well worth viewing.
Check out the Central Lonsdale Development Guide. Lots of interesting ongoing's and some great pictures of the City's models. Also very detailed PDF's supplied by the City on the new plaza and library. This is important information.
Go to this page it's great too!

I was accepted on to the North Van City - Central Lonsdale West Traffic Calming Committee.

Go to the linked page (picture of map) for details of what's going on in this neighbourhood and what to expect when driving in this area.

The music link is just that, what I think of the most recent new music out there. I bet there are lots of great cd's listed that you've never even heard of. Except classical, jazz, country & western. I'm not really into those.
My new NV 10   So I recently purchased the Samsung NV 10. This is a fantastic 10 megapixel camera that also records great video at 640 x 480 & 30 fps. I find the reds a little too punchy (and don't go past 100 iso) but all else can be dealt with, within Photoshop so I I'm not really concerned.
I guess this is hard to see on the internet but I really like this camera even with the hard reds. It only cost me $349.00 (on sale) and I got a 2 gig memory card for $40.00 (also on sale) what a steal eh?   10 megapixels equils colour!

Here's my first use of Photoshop's Automate > Photomerge or "panorama" editing. It's amazing. This picture of English Bay actually consists of 8 different pictures. Photoshop seamlessly joined them as one and it only took about 45 seconds.

Rules   The "Games" category is where I've reviewed of some of the most recent PC games I've played. The games these days are so good and visually stunning it's hard not to for an hour or so after the kids have gone to bed every few days. Besides, I have a really good video card that makes the experience even better.
Sucks

Just so everyone knows, this blog is sponsored by me!

This is a Flash ad I made for myself last year. My Flash skills have advanced and I would be able to make a much better one now I just haven't had the time.

This is my new, large, commercial web site called shoplonsdale.com

This effectively single web page lists every shop and office on and within one block off Lonsdale Ave. I designed this site to attract Google search results and then promote myself through ads on it. It worked. Google loves this web site. It provides a lot of content and gets close to 100 new viewers per day. If the shop has it's own web site, tgere's a link to it. Check it out.
