Welcome to Sean Wardell's New Music Reviews. I put these 4 cd's on top because they're some of my favorites. The red one on the far right is White Stripes Elephant. I pretty much listen to anything pop. But it has to be good. And I mean real good. As everything I research music heavily before I buy so I don't get stuck with anything too bad. Sometimes it doesn't quite work out though.

None of these cd's are in any specific order like release date or preference. Although except for some classics (mostly on page 2) this is what I think of new music. I Won't take up space Titleing if it's already on the album.

MGMT - (Oracular Spectacular), A great band. Great music. Could have been better production. Sort of indi sounding?

Hot Chip - (Made in the Dark), Not as "hot" as LCD Soundsystem but getting there, a little slow in the middle.

It's OK

A true 2 CD classic that will go down in history as one of the best ever. Many new songs. A joy to listen to over & over again.

The Mars Volta - (Bedlam in Goliath), not every one likes this but I sure do. Wow music!

Very smooth, simple & subtle.
Awesome lyrics that aren't
so subtle. A really nice album.

My newest favorite CD.
Not as punk as I expected.
Which is great. Perfect & upbeat

2nd CD by Sri Lankan Mia. Probably best CD of 2007.

Really catchy tunes. A little too political for my taste. Still, good music.

I'll have to listen to this again, it was this or Kevin Drew's Spirit If... that I didn't really like.

Rolling Stone really liked this CD but I thought it was just average. A little boring.

This is an excellent cd - although not quite as good as disc 2 of their debut album.

This is a hard CD to describe. Some great songs some really bad (kinda country at times)

This is one of my all time favorite CDs. Felix is an American DJ with all the right beats. I saw him at Sonor a couple of years ago. Doesn't promo himself much.

I Really Liked

My favorite music is generally British. I used to listen to a lot of mod / punk / ska / Pink Floyd as a kid growing up. Now I really like british dance / techno like Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Underworld , Basement Jaxx, Tim Deluxe. I have a huge collection of BBC Essential Mix DJ sets recorded off the internet. It's great driving music.
